    The Future is 3D Printed

With 3D printing being a topic that is often in and out of the news, we wanted to take the time to simply talk about what people are producing, and the ever-expanding potential for 3D printers. We’ve heard all manner of stories on 3D printing and their capability, whether it’s printing prosthetic limbs for people and pets alike, the world’s first ‘3D printed band’, or even the odd horror story on ‘3D printed firearms’…

The amazing thing about 3D printers is that they can be used to create just about anything you can think of, the mundane and the extraordinary alike. Whereas smaller companies are using these desktop marvels for simple 3D models, NASA is planning on really pushing the limits of possibility, announcing their plans to print entire homes, layer by layer, on Mars!

3D printing technology has certainly come a long way in recent years, and the future is brighter still. The 3D printers of tomorrow will likely come in all shapes and sizes, capable of tasks we might not even be able to comprehend now!

3D printers today, though, still play a huge role in a number of sectors, including Retail, Education, Automotive, Design and more! At Gemini, we’re pleased to be able to introduce our clients to the 3D revolution and high performance rapid prototyping… Interested in learning more? See what 3D printing could do for you here.
