It’s been a while since we shone a light on our excellent IT team. So what better time to introduce one of the fresher faces in the office… Meet Jamaal Glanville, our handy Junior IT Support Engineer!
How long have you worked at Gemini?
I’ve been working at Gemini for almost 2 years now.
What is your role and what does it involve?
I work in the IT team as an IT technician which usually involves helping set up our IT customers with new systems and troubleshooting any unexpected faults. Whilst most of my time is spent in the office helping customers remotely, I do sometimes visit customers on-site for the bigger, more hands-on jobs.
What’s the best thing about working at Gemini? Do you have a favourite work memory?
My favourite thing about Gemini is how great everyone works as a team. If I need help, I know I can ask anyone around me. My favourite work memory was my first site visit. It was great to see how the machines I set up in the office are installed on-site and the experience was beneficial as I got to interact with customers face-to-face.
Where can we find you outside of the office?
If I'm not in the office, you’ll likely find me on the golf course. I can’t get enough of that game, even though I’m not particularly good.
What’s a random fact about you?
I am currently the reigning bowling champion at Gemini. I doubt that title will change anytime soon…
What’s a piece of office equipment that you can’t live without?
The Wildix products we provide make communicating with customers and colleagues so easy. It really is a game-changer! It has become such an integral part of our daily lives, that we can’t help but tell all our customers about it every chance we get!
What is a Gemini product you think everyone should have as standard?
The iPads we provide and manage are perfect for schools as they give students various ways to engage with learning and the ability to quickly access school resources in a secure environment.
When have you gone above and beyond for a customer?
I recently replaced an Antivirus product for a customer which involved over 70 machines. I called and emailed them to detail each step of the project and visited them on-site to ensure they knew exactly what was always going on.
